"I was a finalist in 1993 and remember the hot sun. Great wine. Helpful competitors. The other eleven burger meisters were helpful and friendly. The Sutter Home staff was extremely hospitable and the Inn was lovely.

Overall: unforgettable! I regret that I missed the excitement of that wonderful announcement the year I won."

(There was no cook-off in 1997).
