Inspiration for Carolina Pork Barbecue Burgers:
"The southeastern region of the United States has carried on a love affair with barbecue pork for many years. I have enjoyed tasting the numerous versions of barbecue as I have traveled from the Carolinas to Georgia, Tennessee, and other areas throughout the region. My favorite barbeque flavors are those that incorporate vinegar and spices. The recipe I created includes pork and many other ingredients which are typical of the Carolina barbeque."
Memories of BBB:
"The contest was one of the most exciting moments in my cooking history. The setting on the lawn of the winery was magnificent and the competition was keen. Each contestant had constructed very creative recipes and I was sure that mine would be considered too simple to win a prize. This feeling of inadequacy coupled with a strict time schedule for completion of the recipe added to my stress level. I was completely taken by surprise when I was announced the winner. It was truly an exhilarating experience."
